Page 1 of 1  This is the Cooper T73 as raced in Formula 1 in 1964. The T73 was powered by Coventry Climax 1.5 litre V8 engine. It was very similar to contemporary F2/F3 cars, obviously fitted with the Climax V8 and larger fuel tanks, but it was far from adequate (on faster tracks extra fuel tanks were strapped low on the flank). Bruce McLaren drove it to a second place twice in an otherwise barren season. It appeared again in 1966 with a 3 litre V12 Ferrari Sportscar engine. Page 1 of 1 |
