Click here to download printer friendly version The first Japanese dealers received the updated NSX on December 14th 2001. The restyled NSX resembles the NSX R concpet launched on the 2001 Tokyo Motorshow. The most obvious change are the newly designed projector-type discharge headlights, the front bumper, rear bumper skirt, door garnish and the rear combination lamps. The changes also enhanced the NSX' aerodynamic performance.
The aluminium forged wheels are all new and were jointly developed with BBS and are shot with 215/40R17 front tires and 255/40R17 rear tires. The new wheels resulted in improvements in driving stability and cornering performance at the limit.

 Actually, the NSX may not be as fast as the other supercars on the straights, however, it is way faster on the corners. This explains why it blows te doors off the supercars on the track. The Type R did 7:56s on Nurburgring Nordschleife in 2002, same as the Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale. As a result, people start saying the NSX "CHEAT" by all those silly jokes such as 'weight deduction', 'racing suspension', or even 'more horsepower'. Why?? Because they all believes in horsepower. They think 280BHP should'nt be as fast as those powerful supercars that they like.

 acura is honda the only thing is that honda calls it in the usa acura, but it is the same thing honda, only thing they do is change somethings for the country it is made but all is honda forever

 honda didnt take the nsx from acura jimothy, Acura is honda. Honda badges their cars as Acura for the united states, the different suspension setup (jonboy) is because american roads are different to japanese roads. honda dont build V8 road cars 67vette427 coz they are heavy dinosaur fuel munchers. why build a V8 when honda can make a 6 which goes harder than most 8's will ever go.
