Click here to download printer friendly version The Maserati Trofeo is the racing version of the Maserati Coupé Cambiocorsa. Assembled at the famous Viale Ciro Menotti headquarters, on the same production line as the Coupé and Spyder, the Trofeo was designed to offer the driver an easy-to-drive car that was capable of stirring the emotions. The V8 90° V-angle engine puts out 415bhp, allowing the driver to make the most of the power without compromising the torque.

The six-speed gearbox set up is the same as on a standard road car, or can be set behind the steering column. The non-essential accessories have resulted in a lightened body, substantially reducing the weight of the Trofeo and improving the handling in mixed sections on the track.

The pictured examples are seen here on the 2004 Spa Ferrari/Maserati days. A full grid of Trofeo cars offered the spectators a very exciting 40 minute race.

"I wonder how this car can be a ""disgrace to the history of maserati"" as put by Fat5o, I mean it isn't bad looking. Maserati HAS done better, but to say it's a disgrace? I'm really compelled to say the ultimate Maserati failure was the biturbos. Ewwwww."

I like this Maserati .. and now with the new aspirated V8 is even better ... althought the 3200 Gt had nicer stops .. boomerang shape .....
Mechanics and performances on the first place

C'mon guys it's not that ugly. Take a look at it. It's a race-track car...even though we don't have performance infos I can say the mechanics is very good and I'm sure the aerodinamic too, so I can guarantee that the top speed is at least 310 km/h (195 mph). Car look is on the last place here... be sure
