Chassis:
The first Type C Speed Model built, this is the famous 'Flying Banana' launched at the 1938 Earls Court Motor Show. It later served as the factory test and development car and also competed in the 1939 RAC Rally. The show car was eventually sold to a Scotsman and changed hands several times until the body was removed in the 1960s and fitted on a Jaguar chassis. Fortunately all the original components were retained and in 1980, the tedious restoration process started. The current, Italian owner finally managed to complete the work and brought the car to the 2012 Concorso d'Elgance Villa d'Este.
