This is the second of the first fourteen 250 GT Competiziones constructed in 1956. Similar to the 1956 Tour de France winner, this machine was predominantly raced in Italy by its first owner in races like the Mille Miglia and the Coppa InterEuropa. Late in the decade, the 250 GT had its body extensively modified by Scaglietti, but that has since been rectified. After an extensive restoration, it was presented in a meticulous condition during the 2006 Cavallino Classic and was promptly awarded 'Best of Show'. Later that year it took a third in class at Pebble Beach. It is pictured above during these two events.
