Delivered new to Lola's European agent Joakim Bonnier, this T292 was fitted from the factory with engine mounts for the Cosworth DFV V8 engine. Although its full competition history is not known, it was briefly raced in 1973 by Walter Lehmann and then from 1979 to 1984 by Ruedi Jauslin as a T286. Jauslin won an Interserie race with the car as late as 1984. Restored to its original configuration, it was displayed for many years in the fantastic Rosso Bianco museum. After this was closed down, it was acquired at auction by Scottish historic racer Irvine Laidlaw, who had it prepared for racing by Simon Hadfield. Today, it is in the hands of a London-based Brazilian collector, who regularly races the rare DFV-engined T292.
