Chassis: M23-3
First pressed into service in the summer of 1973, this is the third M23 built and the one with the fewest race starts. Entrusted to a Jody Scheckter, M23-3 debuted at the French Grand Prix where an accident ended the South African's race early. A fortnight later, during the British Grand Prix, the exact same happened and Scheckter did not race an M23 again until later in the year. Restored to Peter Revson's colours, the third M23 is today owned by an American historic racer. At a very rare outing, during the 2006 Monterey Historic Races, it raced alongside two of its sister cars including another Yardley-liveried example.
