Chassis:
The tenth MC12 built, chassis 22797 was originally raced in the 2006 Italian GT Championship by Scuderia Playteam. With Gianbattista Giannocaro and the very quick Toni Vilander behind the wheel, it proved very successful that year. The following season, the team stepped up to the FIA GT Championship with Alessandro Pier Guidi driving alongside Giannocaro. Against much stronger competition, the team struggled and a fourth at Oschersleben and a fifth at Brno were the best results. The Italian squad did not return to the FIA GT Championship and this MC12 was not raced again.
