Chassis:
Presumably built ahead of the 1975 season, this was one of the cars raced by the works supported Willi Kauhsen Racing Team (WKRT). Driven by Henri Pescarolo and Derek Bell, it scored victories at Spa, Zeltweg and Watkins Glen. Retired at the end of the 1975 season, this example was eventually sold off by Autodelta to an American collector in 1980. He has since raced the car extensively in historic events mostly on the American West Coast. For some years, it boasted a slightly modified livery but in more recent years, it was returned to the original WKRT colours. After close to four decades of ownership, the first private owner has now decided to sell the very rare and successful Alfa Romeo racer and consigned to the August 2017 Gooding Pebble Beach Auctions.
