Chassis:
Delivered to its first owner in 1953, this Cunningham C-3 was finished in a rather unusual three-tone paintscheme with a brown upper panel, a maroon main panel and a tan sail panel. Like almost all other Cunninghams, chassis 5222 has remained in the United States throughout its life. The current owner acquired the C-3 in 1993 and has since had it completely restored to a slightly more conventional colour combination of maroon and silver. Following its restoration, it has won numerous awards including first in class at Pebble Beach and Meadow Brook. It is seen here at the 2007 The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering where the 100th birthday of Briggs Cunningham was celebrated.
