Chassis:
One of the earliest Delahaye 135 Spéciales built, this example was sold through the Schell's to one of the their close friends, Joseph Paul. He raced the car very successfully for many years, reportedly competing in over 50 races. Among the victories he scored with this car were the the Coupe d'Automne and the 1937 Grand Prix d'Alger. Following its contemporary racing career, the car changed hands many times and was also re-bodied at least once. Among its more recent owners was the late Jean Sage, who had it restored to its original configuration. In this guise, it has been regularly campaigned in historic events like the Le Mans Classic and Goodwood Revival.
