Chassis:
One of a handful of right hand drive SWBs built in 1960, this steel-bodied example was dispatched in October of 1960 to British importer Maranello Concessionaires. It was subsequently displayed at the Earls Court Motor Show and subsequently used by Ronnie Hoare on the road for some six months when it was sold to Ron Fry. In 1962 and 1963, Fry extensively campaigned chassis 2221GT in local Sprints and Hill Climbs with considerable success. Sold to Italy in the 1970s, it was later changed to LHD and fitted with an alloy body. In 2011, it was sold to a British enthusiast, who had it completely restored to its period configuration by GTO Engineering, who also re-fitted the original steel body, which had fortunately been retained.
