Chassis:
Built by AC Cars, this was the 'British' Cobra that raced at Le Mans in 1963. Driven by Peter Bolton and Ninian Sanderson, it finished seventh overall and first in the over four-litre GT class. It was subsequently sold to John Willment and repainted in his familiar livery of red with two white stripes. Sadly, Frank Gardner rolled the Le Mans Cobra at the Nürburgring. The heavily damaged machine was repaired and raced with considerable success by Jack Sears. In the early 1970s, it was acquired by Nigel Hulme, who extensively campaigned chassis CSX2131 in historic events. In more recent years, the ex-Le Mans Cobra was acquired by another noted British collector.
