Chassis:
Through Braida & Co., this example was sold new to future Ferrari works driver Eugenio Castellotti. He extensively campaigned the car during its early life, winning several minor races. By 1953, chassis 0058M, like so many of its contemporaries, was sold to the United States where its racing career continued. In 1954, it placed second in class in the Pebble Beach road races. Among its next owners was noted Ferrari connoisseur Ed Gilbertson. He sold the car to Mexican collector Lorenzo Zambrano, who notably scored a Best of Show win at the 2000 Cavallino Classic with chassis 0058M.
