Chassis: 3589GT
Sold through Colonel Ronnie Hoare's Maranello Concessionaires, this GTO was acquired by Tommy Sopwith for his racing team Equipe Endeavour. Finished in dark blue, it was raced with considerable success by Mike Parkes, who scored many class and outright victories during the 1962 season. Later that year, it was sold to American Tom O'Connor for his Rosebud Racing Team. He campaigned the car for Innes Ireland. In 1964, O'Connor donated the GTO to the auto mechanics department of his local high school. It was left in a field for many years, until it was finally recovered during the mid 1980s. The current owner acquired the GTO in 1988, and has had it completely restored since.
