Noted French racer Pierre Noblet bought this 250 GTO late in 1962. Finished in red with a French tricolore stripe, it was campaigend with some success by Noblet, at times partnered by Jean Guichet. In 1963, the pairing won the 6 Hours of Dakar and scored a class victory in the Nürburgring 1000 km. It remained in French ownership, until was acquired by Tom Price in 1983. During the following years, the American regularly raced the car until he sold it to the current owner in 2010. He has had it completely restored and it has since been shown at events on both sides of the Atlantic.
