Chassis: FW08-06
The sixth and final FW08 built for the 1982 season, chassis FW08-06 was entrusted to Derek Daly for the second half the season. Whereas his team-mate Rosberg proved very consistent, Daly struggled to reach the finish and eventually scored points once with this car when he placed sixth in the Caesar's Palace Grand Prix. Pressed into service twice more in 1983 as an FW08C, it was driven to victory in the Race of the Champions by Rosberg and placed 13th in the European Grand Prix by Jonathan Palmer. Retained by Williams, it is today fitted with the four-wheel rear-end tested by the British team in the fall of 1982.
