Chassis:
Although delivered to Carl Haas in June of 1969, this T163 was not sold until the following season. It was acquired by Geoff, who entered it in the St. Jovite Can-Am round but did not start the race. Ahead of the 1971 season, it was sold to Jim Butcher, who finally gave the car its race debut. He campaigned the car with very little success for two seasons, and it was raced some more by subsequent onwers before it was retired from contemporary racing at the end of 1974. Following a sojourn in New Zeeland, it was more recently acquired by an American enthusiast, who had chassis SL163/20 completely restored to full running order by Toluka Lake Historics.
