Chassis:
Acquired new by Ecurie Francorchamps, this 250 TR was completed in time for the start of the 1958 season. It was finished in Belgian racing yellow with a a deep red stripe. Chassis 0724TR was raced by Lucien Bianchi or Willy Mairesse at select events throughout the year. The two Belgians teamed up for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which sadly ended with a crash. At the end of the year, it was sold to the United States where it was raced only briefly. The engine was later used for a Maserati. In 1985, the car was acquired by Willis Murphy, who set about restoring it. Under new ownership, the work was finally completed in 2014 by Paul Russell, who restored the car to its Le Mans configuration. The 250 TR was ready in time for the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance where it was shown by the current owner and Willis Murphy.
