Chassis:
The fifth Birdcage built, this example was also sold to the United States. Liveried in white with a red central stripe, it was raced extensively and successfully by Gus Andrey for the car's owner Mike Garber. In 1959, Andrey finished second in the Governer's Trophy in the Nassau speed week and a year later he finished third overall and first in class. Halfway through the 1961, it was retired from contemporary racing. It has since changed hands only a handful of times and chassis 2455 remained in the United States well into the 2000s. Now owned by a leading German Maserati collector, it is regularly raced in historic events.
