Chassis:
This 135 Special was sold new to Daniel Porthaud, who raced under the pseudonym 'Danniell'. Completed late in 1935, it was clothed with a lightweight cycle-fender body by Marcel Pourtout. The car was raced extensively for several years, reportedly competing in over 50 events. One of the car's best result was a second place finish at Le Mans in 1938 with Gaston Serraud and Yves Giraud-Cabantous behind the wheel. During its busy life, it is believed to have been re-bodied as many as three times. In more recent years, it has been meticulously restored to the configuration used at Le Mans in 1938.
