Chassis:
One of the Type 101 prototypes, this car was entrusted to Parisian carrossier Van Antem. They fitted a particularly striking Coupe body in time for the Paris Auto Salon of 1951. Despite the modern lines, it was still unmistakably a Bugatti thanks to its horseshoe-shaped grille. Retained by the factory until 1958, it was then sold to American collector Gene Cesari. Each of the next owners were collectors of note as well and included Bill Harrah, Jacques Harguindeguy, Nicolas Cage, Gene Ponder and John O'Quinn. From the latter's estate, it was offered at auction in 2010. Although it did not sell at that time, it has found a new, Belgian owner.
