Chassis:
One of the very last 911 Carrera RSRs produced, this 3-litre engined car was sold new to Mexican racer Hector Rebaque. Delivered to Mexico late in 1974, it was driven to outright victory in the Mexico City 1000 km race. The following year, it was also raced at Daytona where it placed 9th overall. Rebaque, however, was most successful with the car at home. During the early 1980s, it was dusted off and raced with some success by Diego Febles and Kikos Fonseca for several more years. During the 1980s, it changed hands several times before it was acquired by Rick Rothenberger in 1991. By that time, it had already been restored to its original configuration by Porsche specialist Jim Torres. Rothenberger raced the car once at the Monterey Historics in the early 1990s but held on to the car until 2005. The next owner was Fred Brubaker, who would also used the car very little. Under the next owner, who acquired the car in 2014, it was submitted to a complete mechanical overhaul. Chassis 911 560 9115 then hands at auction in March of 2015 and returned to Europe for the first time since it was new. Now owned by a German enthusiast, it is regularly raced in historic events.
