The second SE88C built, this car was run by Chamberlain Engineering for Jean-Louis Ricci in the 1988 World Sportscar Championship. He was usually joined by his compatriot Claude Ballot-Lena. Although they failed to finish at Le Mans, the French pairing did achieve several class podiums, usually beaten only by the factory Spices. In subsequent ownership, chassis 003 continued to be raced for several more years. Its final outing came at Le Mans in 1993 where it finished 20th overall and 10th in class. It has since been restored to its 1988 Le Mans configuration and colour scheme, and has become a regular in the historic Group C championship.
