Chassis:
The fourth and final Mazda 757 built, this chassis was first raced at the start of the 1987 season in the Suzuka 500 km, where it placed sixth overall. It was then part of Mazda's two-car Le Mans effort, where an electric issue cut chassis 104's race short. Later in the year, it did win its class in the Fuji 1000 km. In 1988, it was back at Le Mans and finished 15th overall and first in the IMSA class. At the end of the season, the car passed to a Japanese privateer team and it was campaigned as late as October of 1990 in Japanese events. Eventually the car ended up with a British historic racer, who campaigned it for several seasons in the historic Group C championship, wearing its Le Mans winning livery.
