Chassis:
After Porsche had produced the original batch of 934s with 30 successive chassis numbers, one more example was produced by Porsche for Wolfgang Kauwertz. Sharing with Klaus Drees, he won a minor event at the Nürburgring in the summer of 1976 but was otherwise unsuccessful. Having seen only limited action, the car was stored in virtually as-new condition by Kauwertz in 1979. It was later sold to a Japanese collection and was eventually offered at auction in 2012. At that time, it still boasted the original paint and had just 16,133 km on the odometer.
