Chassis:
The first Abarth 207A constructed, chassis 001 was delivered to the United States just in time for owner John Bentley to enter it for the 1955 Sebring 12 Hours. Sharing with Jim McGee, Bentley retired from the race halfway through the gruelling event with reliability issues. In the remainder of the season, the first Abarth 207A was raced with considerable success, scoring several class wins and also setting a new speed record at Daytona Beach. Subsequent owners continued to campaign the car in minor events through to the 1957 season. In more recent years, it has been used in historic race meetings throughout North America.
