Chassis:
Under construction when Porsche withdrew its 1995 Daytona 24 Hours entry, this is the second WSC95 built, and the only one using a new tub. It made its much delayed debut at the Le Mans Test in 1996 and started the race on pole position. In what was the car's only race in WSC95 guise, it failed to reach the finish due to electrics issues. For 1998, it was extensively modified to become one of the works entered LMP1/98s. Driven by James Weaver, Pierre-Henri Raphanel and David Murry, it qualified 20th overall but failed to reach the finish after a spin damaged the bodywork too substantially. The car was retired to the Porsche Museum and with the sister car restored back to the much more successful WSC95 configuration, this is the sole surviving LMP1/98.
