Chassis:
Art Evans was not only the official distributor for the Devin SS sports cars, he also raced them, including this example. Evans campaigned it in period at Willow Springs, Palm Springs and Riverside. It was also raced by Bobby Unser in the Tacoma Grand Prix. Among the subsequent owners was noted collector and historic racer Tom Hollfelder. It was more recently acquired by another American collector and racer, who has regularly campaigned it at historic events in North America.
