Chassis: '5782'
Ahead of the 1962 season, Richie Ginther heavily crashed the P578 he was due to race in the World Championship during a test at Silverstone. Not rebuilt in period, it was presumably eventually reconstructed for Tom Wheatcroft's fabulous Donington Collection. For many years the resurrected 5782 was only a static display with an empty engine and gearbox. In more recent years, it has been rebuilt by specialists Hall & Hall to full running order. It was demonstrated by Hall & Hall's Andy Willis at the 2010 Goodwood Revival where BRM's 60th anniversary was celebrated.
