Chassis:
Completed early in 1965, this A3/C was sold new to a German enthusiast through local importer Auto Becker. Soon after arriving in Germany, it was road tested for Auto Motor und Sport magazine by Le Mans winning journalist Paul Frère. Chassis B 0213 was then sold to Swiss scrap dealer and talented gentleman racer Pierre de Siebenthal. At this point, it is unclear whether De Siebenthal also raced this Iso but he did campaign several Bizzarrini cars in period. He definitely liked the Iso and retained it until 1993 when it was acquired by former Bizzarrini factory worker Salvatore Diomante. He first showed the car in its original form at various events before submitting it to a comprehensive restoration. The work was completed in 2013 and it was sold to its new, American owner in time for that year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. One of first 20 examples believed to have been built by Drogo with a riveted aluminium body, it was consigned by only its fourth owner to Bonhams' 2016 Scottsdale Auction.
