Chassis: CB/6/52
Chassis CB/6/52 was campaigned by the Ecurie Ecosse team for David Murray. For the Scottish team, created by shipping-magnate Major Thompson, the Formula 2 Cooper was second to its Jaguar sports car efforts. The blue Cooper Bristol was nevertheless raced on the track from 1952 through to 1954. During its subsequent racing career under new ownership, it was finally heavily damaged during the run at the Prescott Hill in 1958. The remains were salvaged and used for a complete reconstruction. Back to its 1952 specification, chassis CB/6/52 is now regularly raced in historic events. It is seen here during the 2006 and 2008 Monaco Historic Grands Prix and the Goodwood Revival Meeting in 2006 and 2007.
