Chassis:
The very last Nart Spyder and the third to last Ferrari 275 produced, this car was shipped new to Concesionario Tayre from Madrid, Spain. It was finished in grey (Grigio Scuro) with a black interior. Through the Spanish concessionaire, it was delivered to a Colonel in the Spanish foreign legion. Although it is believed to have been registered with Spanish Sahara plates, it is less certain wether the car was ever shipped to Africa. The Nart Spyder was soon after acquired by noted Ferrari collector José Segimon. He retained the car through to the early 1980s when it was sold to the United Kingdom. Here it was repainted red before it joined the stable of Swiss collector Albert Obrist. In 1995, it was sold on and was successfully owned by well known collectors Chris Cox, Carlos Monteverde and Bernard Carl. During the latter's ownership, it was restored by Terry Hoyle and finished in a dark metallic livery. In 2009, it was acquired by Lord Irvine Laidlaw, who used the car regularly on the road and in touring events. From his collection, it has now been consigned to the May 2016 RM Sotheby's Monaco sale.
