Chassis:
Sold through Garage Francorchamps, this all alloy 250 GT SWB was acquired new by Belgian privateer Jean Blaton, who usually raced under the alias 'Beurlys'. He raced the car with the likes of Pierre Noblet and Lucien Bianchi in select events during the 1960 season with a fourth in class at the Nürburgring as the only notable result. Ahead of the 1961 season, chassis 1811GT was sold to Blaton's compatriot Robert Crevits. He campaigned the car with some success in local events in Belgium and The Netherlands. Following its contemporary racing career, it was sold to the United States, where it remained until the early 1990s. By that time it had received a comprehensive restoration in Italy. Among the subsequent owners were Michel Seydoux, Philippe Lancksweert and Christian Traber. The two later owners returned the car to the racing track. In the current, British hands since 2010, it is still regularly raced in events all over Europe.
