Chassis:
The third 962 acquired by Dyson Racing, this car was delivered to the team in time for the Continental 500 race at Watkins Glen in the summer of 1986. Unfortunately, it was damaged during its debut with driver Drake Olsen behind the wheel. Dyson Racing opted to repair the car with an altogether stronger replacement chassis with honeycomb panels built by Richard Lloyd Racing. The original sheet aluminium chassis was retained as a spare by the team until 1989 when it was sold to Kevin Jeannette. He repaired the car for the next owner during the early 1990s. A two-time Porsche Club of America president, the new owner placed the car into storage for 15 years. It was then submitted to a four-year restoration to bring it up to full running order at the owner's Formula Motorsports shop. The work was completed in time for the 2011 Rennsport Reunion. In 2016, chassis was exercised at the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion by aspiring young racer Skylar Robinson.
