Chassis:
Of the approximately seventeen Lister Chevrolets constructed, chassis 'BHL 124' is the first to be specifically constructed to accept the Corvette derived powerplant. Fitted with the aerodynamic Frank Costin body and a fuel injected engine, it was raced on the West Coast by well known car dealer Tom Carstens in 1959 and 1960. In that second year, Carstens won the Northwest Championship. After two successful seasons, the Lister passed into the hands of Lew Florence. It was subsequently sold to Canadian Bill Stephens, who campaigned the car in a very striking 'Kelly green' paint-scheme. After the 1964 season, it was retired from contemporary racing. Today it is fully restored and equipped with a very hot engine, producing a staggering 475 bhp.
