Chassis:
Delivered to its first owner through the Konner Chevrolet dealership from Caldwell, NJ, this is one of just three L88 Roadsters originally finished in burgundy. It features heavy duty options like the M22 'rock crusher' gearbox and uprated brakes and suspension. Its earliest history is not known but it was discovered in the late 1970s by Corvette specialist Pat Shwery. He immediately recognised that this was no ordinary Corvette and set about restoring it to its original splendour. It then changed hands several times before it was acquired by a long term owner in 2007. Shortly after acquiring the car, the new owner submitted it to a frame off restoration carried out by leading L88 expert Kevin Mackay. The flawless work has since been awarded with a flurry of top prices at the major Corvette and muscle car shows.
