Chassis:
One of the very last original Shelby Cobras built, this car was delivered as a roller to Shelby American in July of 1966. Like all of the final big-block Cobras, it was fitted with the more affordable 428 Ford V8. It was then sold through Hayward Ford in the Bay Area to its first owner. Although changing hands several times, it remained in Northern California. In 1985, chassis CSX3293 was acquired by collector and restorer Bruce Canepa, who had it fitted with a period correct 427 engine. By the late 1980s, the car moved to Southern California where it was updated to S/C specification. Following a brief sojourn in Europe during the late 2000s, when it was driven on the streets of Monaco, the car was sold back to the United States. In more recent years, it was returned to its stock appearance, while the 427 engine was retained.
