Chassis:
The second 8CM bought by Raymond Sommer, this chassis was raced more extensively by its original owner. He campaigned the car during the 1933 and 1934 seasons at events like the Tunis and Italian Grands Prix. At the 1934 Belgian Grand Prix Sommer placed a close second to the victorious Tazio Nuvolari. One of less than ten survivors of the nineteen 8CM, this car is in remarkably original condition and retains most of the original body panels. Today it is part of a prominent American collection based in Scottsdale, Arizona.
