Chassis:
Among the very last of the first series Miuras built, this example was built specifically for Adrian Doyle. He was the youngest son of Sherlock Holmes author Arthur Conan Doyle and had a taste for fast cars. Among the previous machines in his stable was a Ferrari 250 GT SWB. Like his Ferrari, he specified a unique colour scheme of red with green and gold stripes for his Miura. Sadly, Doyle passed away shortly after taking delivery of unique Miura, in 1970. Rarely seen since, it was eventually repainted in red without the stripes. In more recent years, the car passed into the hands of a well known Swiss collector. Following thorough research and using very rare period, colour photographs, the car was restored to its original configuration, complete with the stripes and badges on the front fender by Italian specialists Cremonini Carrozzeria. The car was ready for the 2017 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este where it won its class.
