Chassis:
Ready in April of 1955, this 750 Monza was sold to Milan based Count Bruno Sterzi. It is not known if he raced the car during 1955 but it did see action when it passed to Ottavio Guarducci early in 1956. He initially raced the car in sports car events in Italy but then brought it across the Atlantic to compete in the 1957 Cuban Grand Prix. Then sold to a racer from Venezuela, the 750 Monza remained on this side of the world. The car was raced for several more years and received several modifications including a truncated tail. In 1976, it was discovered on a scrapyard in Maracaibo by an Italian enthusiast living in Venezuela and eventually repatriated. Still unrestored, the car was finally sold on again in 2000 and submitted to a complete five-year restoration. The car was fitted with a matching number gearbox and a period correct 750 Monza from a sister car. Chassis 0534M was then sold on to a Japanese enthusiast, who has regularly entered it in the Mille Miglia retrospective. In 2017, it was consigned to the RM Sotheby's Passione e Leggenda sale, staged as part of the Ferrari 70th anniversary celebrations in Maranello.
