Chassis:
Fitted with a Mazda rotary engine and fielded by Jim Downing, this Argo JM19 was first raced in the 1985 season finale at Daytona. In the hands of Downing himself and John Maffuci, it finished 13th overall and first in class. In 1986 Downing and Maffuci also managed to score class wins at Road Atlanta, Riverside, Portland and Sears Point. It was raced through to the 1989 season when it returned to its winning ways with class victories at Watkins Glen and Portland. The car was eventually acquired by a Mazda enthusiast and was raced by his son at the 2017 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion.
