Chassis:
Completed early in 1984, this 308 GTB was built to Group B specification by Michelotto. It was one of four Group B cars built by Michelotto of which three, including chassis 18847, were fitted with the latest four-valve engine. It was sold new to Italian team Pro Motor Sport like all Michelotto Group B cars. It was raced extensively in 1984 with Luigi 'Lucky' Battistolli finished second in the Dalla Lana Rally and Bjorn Waldegard placed the car third in the Monza Rally. Following its contemporary racing career, it was acquired by British collector Robs Lamplough in October of 1987 for 30 million Italian Lire. He would own the car through to 2010 when it was recommissioned before being sold to the next custodian. Some years later, it was sold to an American historic racer by dealer Girardo & Co. The unmolested machine was restored and prepared for rallying before it was entered by the latest owner in the 2017 Tour Auto.
