Chassis:
In 1956, Giorgio Sini Sorso, the Count of Sant'Andrea in Milan, commissioned Boano to cloth a pair of Ferrari 410 Superamericas. This is the first of the two, fitted with a unique coupe design that incorporated many cues of the subsequent Cabriolet and a 250 GT Cabriolet also bodied by Boano. Among the distinct design features of this car is the split rear window. Like so many of its contemporaries, chassis 0477SA eventually made its way to the United States. Following spells in the hands of William Upton, movie director Clarence Brown and racing driver Ernie McAfee, the car joined the stable of noted collector, the late Robert M. Lee. He had already owned the 250 GT Boano Cabriolet from new and later also added the sister 410 Superamerica to his collection. In 2017, the three were shown together at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance where Ferrari's 70th anniversary was celebrated.
