Chassis:
Delivered new to American racer and recent Le Mans winner Ed Hugus, this 906 was first raced in the 1966 Sebring 12 Hours. Sharing with Lake Underwood, Hugus finished eighth overall. He continued to race the car through to the end of the season before selling the car on to Cliff Philips. He raced the car mainly in the mid-West during the 1967 and 1968 season. Late in 1968, the car passed to Mike Rahal, the father of Indy 500 winner Bobby Rahal. He raced the car at Sebring three more times and also won a local event as late as 1970. Following its lengthy contemporary racing career, it eventually ended up in Japanese hands. Raced regularly in Japan, chassis 906-113 was brought over to California to compete in the 2017 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion.
