Chassis:
First raced at the 1984 Monza 1000 km race, this LC2 served throughout that year's World Championship. At its debut, Mauro Baldi and Paoia Barilla finished third overall. For Le Mans, it was finished in the colours of a French sponsor and raced with little luck by Beppe Gabbiani, Pierluigi Martini and Xavier Lapeyre due to a head gasket failure. The best result for chassis 0006 in 1984 came at that year's final outing, at Kyalami, when Bob Wollek and Barilla placed second overall behind the sister car. In 1985, this car was raced by the Lancia Martini team just once and also served as a spare at at least two more events. Retained by Lancia, it is today part of the factory collection and made a rare appearance during the 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
