A works car, this Porsche 908 Coupe was believed to have been a factory entry in the 1968 Austrian Grand Prix at Zeltweg. Entered for Jochen Neerpasch and Rudi Lins, it failed to reach the finish due to a crash. Retained by Porsche until 1974 when it was sold along with a sister car to Alan Hamilton. Rebuilt to full running order, it was eventually sold to a fellow Australian before it was acquired by noted German collector Ernst Schuster. In more recent years, it has been in the hands of an American and subsequently a European owner, who have both regularly raced this rare ex-works 908.
