Finished in grigio argento with a red leather interior, this Series 2 Aerodinamica Coupe was completed in November of 1963. The car's first owner was a Florence based automotive concern Autoservizi Maggiore, which would grow out to become to country's largest car rental company. Company founder Vittorio Maggiore used the car through to the end of the decade before exporting the car to the United States. It was acquired by Benjamin Caskey in 1970 and after his passing in 1987, his window retained the car for a further ten years. By that time, chassis 5029SA had been painted dark blue and had never been fully restored. The subsequent Swiss owner had the car meticulously restored during the early 2000s. From 2005, it has been part of the stable of major American collectors including Lee Herrington and Paul E. Andrews. The most recent custodian acquired the car in 2015 and has since shown it at The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering and the 2016 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. In August of 2017, it will cross the block in the Bonhams Quail Auction.
