Chassis:
Featured is the Mk3b entered by Roger Penske for Mark Donohue. Despite Penske's meticulous preparation, Donohue could not match the McLaren M6s in the Can-Am. Fitted with a big block V8, it did win a non-Can-Am race at Mid Ohio. At the end of the 1967 season, it was sold to Carroll Shelby and inspected closely by Ford. Fitted with a big block Ford V8, it was raced again by George Follmer, who finished second in a Can-Am race. After its contemporary racing career, it changed hands several times and even spent a short time in the Collier Museum. In the 1980s it was briefly fitted with a Coupe body, but it has since been fully restored to its 1967 specification. It is shown above during the 2006 Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance where Can-Am's fortieth anniversary was celebrated.
