Chassis:
Immediately after completion, the first M16B was delivered to Roger Penske for Mark Donohue to race in the 1972 USAC championship. The biggest success came during the Indy 500, which Donohue won in this car with an average speed of 162.962 mph. The winning M16B was later added to the collection of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Hall of Fame. At a rare outing, chassis M16B/1 is seen here during the 2010 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance where the Indy 500's centennial in 2011 was celebrated.
